Thyroglobulin (TG) - Marker for normal thyroid and thyroid cancer

Thyroglobulin is a protein exclusively produced by follicular cells in the thyroid gland, where it functions to produce the T3 and T4 thyroid hormones. Thyroglobulin is mainly used as a tumor marker for certain thyroid cancers in serum, and to monitor recurrence and/or the effectiveness of treatment against thyroid cancer.

Show TG in the protein atlas.
